Dulles on Supervision
John Foster Dulles was Secretary of State under President Dwight Eisenhower. In looking for a quote on supervision, a subject we’ve been exploring a little this week, I came across a Dulles quote. He doesn’t mention the word “supervision.” He’s talking about success. However, I think he may have nailed what successful supervision means.
“The measure of success is not whether you have a tough problem to deal with, but whether it is the same problem you had last year.”
