Buddha on Oil
Oil is all over the media. It’s all over the water. It’s so all over everything that some people are saying it’s all over. Given its alloverness, it seemed that we should have a quote about oil. And I’ve picked an unlikely source for such a quote. I refer to the “awakened one.” The Buddha’s wisdom covers pretty much everything, including, as it turns out, oil. Perhaps someone should have consulted him earlier.
“You should respect each other and refrain from disputes; you should not, like water and oil, repel each other, but should, like milk and water, mingle.”
