I Won’t Back Down — HR Song of the Week
Tom Petty’s classic is probably regarded as primarily a song for the underdog, the worker on the plant floor, a determined employee of low station. It seems to me that it can also be a song for the executive, the manager, the HR professional, anyone at any level. If you know what’s right and realize you have just one life, you’ll find there’s no easy way out. To keep the world from pushing you around or dragging you down, you’ll stand your ground and won’t back down.
