Fort Hood and Veterans Day
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan make our remembrance of Veterans Day important. We have young men and women risking, sometimes giving, their lives in service to our country.
Their service calls to mind the service of all veterans of past wars. There will always be significant and sincere disagreements about certain wars in a country of free expression, but all Americans stand together in honoring those who serve and in awe of the courage of our veterans.
The almost unthinkable tragedy at Fort Hood brings war and our soldiers’ (past and present) commitment to country screaming into our lives. Today, we honor the fallen at Fort Hood, together with all who’ve served our country and defended our freedom.

The title of the posting contains a typo and should be changed to “Fort Hood” rather than “Hoot”.
Jonathan,
Thanks very much. Change made.
