The cartoonist’s bio on Slate’s site indicates he’s 33 years old, and in his photo he certainly looks it.
It also says he won the Pulitzer 14 years ago and was a runner up 22 years ago. Wikipedia says he’s 49. I find the math a bit easier to believe with that scenario.
