Religion vs. Image
We all know we can’t discriminate on the basis of religion and that we may have to accommodate an employee’s religious beliefs. It’s also generally accepted that an employer has the right to decide what kind of business image it wants to project. What if an employee dresses a certain way because of her religious beliefs, but this is contrary to the employer’s desired image. Jon Hyman discusses a recent case.
