Sotomayor’s Fourth and Final Day

Below are three links to the fourth and final day for Sonia Sotomayor before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The Committee will vote, and then the nomination will head to the full Senate for further debate and a final vote. Next week, I’ll begin providing my analysis of the hearings from a labor and employment law standpoint. And I do have a few things to say. Stay tuned.

I salute the Hon. Sonia Sotomayer! Descriptions of her as an “acceptable” candidate for the High Court given her educational and legal background and the diversity of experience she has as a judge are quite simply understated (to be kind). I guarantee that she doesn’t have any more “personality issues” than any of the male justices. She is a strong Latina jurist. Justice Ginsburg can use the help. I especially liked the reference to Perry Mason. Perry got me hooked also.
