Churchill on Taxes
The present debate on increasing taxes, at least on some people, has been around for a long time. Winston Churchill weighed in on the subject this way, which is quote that seems particularly appropriate on April 15:
“I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.”
