Another View on Health Care Reform
President Obama has declared that there will be health care reform this time around. It appears that there’s consensus among most, if not all, of the so-called stakeholders that reform does need to occur. There’s no consensus, however, on how it should occur.
In the January 26, 2009, issue of the New Yorker, Atul Gawande, a medical doctor and an associate professor at Harvard, gives his opinion on how it should be done in an article titled “Getting There From Here.” It provides an interesting perspective on a subject that will receive a lot of attention during the next several months.
