Huey Lewis and the News nails what work is like sometimes. “Somedays won’t ever end, and somedays pass on by. I’ll be workin’ here forever, at least until I die.” And then, as though the song were recorded quite recently, Huey makes it clear that he’s not complainin’ because he needs the work. “I’m takin’ what they’re givin’ ’cause I’m workin’ for a livin’.”
