Bryan on Being Active
As the election draws closer and closer, we know that someone will win the presidency and someone will lose. A person who knew a lot about the latter was William Jennings Bryan. The populist orator was the Democratic nominee three times, and he lost each time.
Knowing that Bryan was never at a loss for words, I thought I might find something applicable to work and the workplace. See what you think about this:
“None so little enjoy themselves, and are such burdens to themselves, as those who have nothing to do. Only the active have the true relish of life.”
(To give balance to Bryan’s quote, you may want to remember the quote from Socrates I posted a few weeks ago.)
