Don’t Ask, Don’t Get Policy

When it comes to posts on women in the workplace, no need to stop now.

Some women in the workplace have adopted the title of this post as their policy–according to an article in the New York Times written by Linda Babcock, who has done a lot of research and writing about the disparity between male and female compensation in the workplace.  Babcock isn’t whining.  She’s taken affirmative steps to deal with this problem, placing responsibility on women and on employers.

She calls dealing with gender compensation inequities a crucial leadership issue and a sound management practice.  Is that the way your company or organization sees it?  I would say that, for all of your leaders, this article is a must-read.
