Spitzer Talk Continues
Upon reflection, some are now expressing concern about the way the government ensnared former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. See the recent article in Slate Magazine.
The more I’ve thought about this, the more I’m inclined to believe that Spitzer could have survived, had he chosen to fight. It might have indeed been a Pyrrhic victory, taking into consideration family concerns and the ongoing need to keep the state running without a major distraction, but President Clinton proved that where there’s a will there’s a way in these sorts of things.
As you know by now, after thinking about this matter from any and all angles, I come back to The Man Gene.
