Another Look at Presidential Politics–Predictions for the Workplace–McCain on Fair Pay Act

I can find nothing on Senator McCain’s position on this legislation. My guess is that he would oppose the law, at least in an election year. This proposal is on the conservative hit list, and it’s unlikely that McCain would support a bill that he knows conservatives don’t want. For all I know, he would be against it anyway.
Although McCain has been in Senate for a long time (the House before that), he hasn’t been involved in labor and employment issues all that much, except for the Americans with Disabilities Act. One could argue that Senators Clinton (eight years in the Senate) and Obama (two years in the Senate) have said more about labor and employment law than McCain (22 years in the Senate).
