What do women think of each other?
Well, the real question raised in a recent article in the ABA Journal is what do women lawyers think of each other. I realize that some regard lawyers as abnormal people, so you might think this article isn’t useful for most employers. I’m pretty sure you’ll think differently after reading the article.
As you can guess, the article deals in part with whether women lawyers prefer to work with men or women, particularly when one or the other is “the boss.” Since most of you keep up with all the talk about how the different generations now in the workplace deal with each other, you can also guess that the answer raised by this article’s question depends on the age of the female lawyer responding to the question.
There have been a lot of posts on this blog about the issues of race, gender and age as those issues relate to employment law and the current presidential campaign. It’s almost always impossible to deal with one of these issues in isolation. Increasingly, we see that they’re all connected in one way or the other.
