Public Firing
Getting back to this week’s tip, just be glad that most of us don’t have to fire employees in a public setting. I did a post about the firing of LSU’s basketball coach a week or so ago, and asked if this is the way a discharge should be handled. While the answer is no, it’s difficult, maybe impossible, to pull off a firing in full view of the public and do it right, as demonstrated by the recent events surrounding the President of the College of William and Mary.
